Brew Fest #2

This past Saturday, we went up to the ski hill for our 2nd brew fest of the weekend.  It was a ton of fun and we even saw our first bear (in the wild)!  The bear was sitting right next to the road as we drove by and just stood there, wish I had snapped a picture.

We will be moving into our new place starting tomorrow and through the weekend.  I am so excited to be in our new place, it is just so bright and fun.

A Wedding

Yesterday, my husband and I went to a gorgeous wedding. 

We had a great time, the service was very fun and the views were amazing as well as the food. 

I wore this ombre dress that I bought from Target with my birthday gift card.  Purple is my favorite color and I love turquoise as well which is why I went with the turquoise accents.

This is not what I had planned to wear to Summer Brew in Santa Fe but we ended up having a much needed rain storm which included about an hour of hail as well and I didn't want to ruin a pair of shoes!  

Brew Fest #2 is today on our ski hill!!!  Then off to a wedding!

What to Wear to Farmer's Market

 Went to Farmer's Market today and picked up some local honey and homemade scones (yum!).  It has been hot here in New Mexico.  Unfortunately, most all homes in our town (us included) do not have air conditioning, which has made this heat wave extremely uncomfortable.

Looking forward to this weekend, 2 brew fests to attend as well as a wedding!! Should be eventful.

Moving Clothes

Yesterday morning we moved some of our furniture from the house to my husband's classroom. The place we are moving into comes fully furnished and I don't mind getting rid of most of my furniture being that my furniture consist of hand-me-downs and craigslist finds. The unfortunate part about moving the furniture out 2 1/2 weeks before our move in date is that now I have to sit on the floor when watching TV or working on my homework.

The good part of moving is getting rid of things you no longer want or need.  I have always had a love/hate relationship with moving.  I love the fresh start in a new place but I hate the process of getting there. 

Needless to say I have a large trash bag full of clothes that I will be taking to Plato's Closet very soon.....

A New Place

 Being that I wore these shorts in my first ever blog post, I thought I would recreate an outfit using the same shorts in a combination that better suits my current style.  It is interesting how much my personal style has changed in only a year....

My husband thought it would be funny to send the dog after me while I was trying to take pictures. She has sharp claws so I was trying to keep her from scratching.  At least the pictures turned out cute!

If you have been following along then you know that my husband and I have been searching for a place to live (our landlord decided to move back to our current home).  Well, great news! We found a place and it is amazing!!  Very colorful and Southwestern.  Pictures to come, we move in June 25th.  Here is a sneak peek...
